Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Field Operations Leader - Wind in Piedmont, SC, to manage field services teams in the onshore wind sector. Responsibilities include promoting safety, enhancing operational efficiency, and maintaining high-quality workmanship. The role requires 5+ years of experience and a technical degree. As a Field Operations Leader - Wind, you will oversee the direct management of the field services teams including field technicians and supervisors in the onshore wind business. You will drive an inclusive and accountable health and safety culture to bring everyone home safe. You will be responsible to deliver on the highest quality of workmanship and efficiency to meet both BHI’s work standards and customer expectations.

You will report to the Director of Operations, Renewables. This role is based out of our Piedmont, SC location, but can be performed remotely.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead field supervisors and technicians to exceed safety and performance standards.
• Develop work standards to measure performance and Identify opportunities to refine procedures to improve operational efficiency.
• Develop Lessons learned and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement across the team.
• Develop and monitor quality reports to measure quality of workmanship, promote accountability to meet process requirements to exceed customer expectations.
• Be the main contact between field supervisors and operations management.
• Promote high standards of service and resolve customer issues promptly.
• Support resource planning through forecasting on assigned projects.
• Coordinate all projects staffing for upcoming projects working with the Project Managers to balance talent across projects.
• Perform periodic site and customer visits to perform safety and quality audits and ensure expected productivity is being met
• Track KPIs and report on team performance.
• Forecast and loading of annual training needs for hiring schedule inputs.
• Hire/interviews.
• Participate in management development meetings/discussions.

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of previous experience
• Bachelor’s degree required in technical discipline. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• Knowledge of wind turbine operations
