Job Description

IEA Constructors LLC is seeking a Field Engineer I, II, or III (Solar) in Eastbrook, ME. This role involves inspecting construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. It is a traveling position, requiring up to 100% travel across the US for renewable projects. Position Summary

Responsible for independently inspecting and monitoring construction activities to ensure completion per the plans and adherence to all specifications and codes. Notify project management of significant issues and complete documentation to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities. Develop a thorough understanding of the project scope and schedule related to your assignment.
Location & Travel Details

This is a traveling position, up to 100% of the time, across the US, helping build renewable projects. Employees spend 8-12 months per project, with designated daily per diem, a monthly vehicle and phone allowance, and routine travel home.

Responsibilities
• Promote and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Inspect construction quality across various activities including roads, environmental, concrete, utilities, and installation of wind turbines or solar systems.
• Ensure work conforms to design documents and specifications.
• Review tests and inspection reports, communicate issues, and document activities.
• Manage materials, perform basic surveying, and record daily activities accurately.
• Coordinate with management and subcontractors, prepare punch lists, and assist in project documentation.
• Utilize construction management software for inspections and data collection.
• Mentor and train other inspectors as needed.Qualifications Education & Experience
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in relevant fields preferred; high school diploma with experience also considered.
• Specific experience requirements vary by level (I, II, III).
Skills & Abilities
• Strong safety awareness, organizational skills, and computer proficiency.
• Ability to read blueprints, document activities, and communicate effectively.
• Physical ability to work on job sites, including climbing and working in various environments.
