Field Ecology Specialist

Battelle Memorial Institute seeks a Field Ecology Specialist to collect ecological data in northern Wisconsin and Michigan. We are seeking a Field Ecology Specialist to join our team at Battelle Memorial Institute. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collecting data on northern hardwood forests and lakes in both managed and minimally managed landscapes of northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

The National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) is a continental-scale observation facility funded by the National Science Foundation and operated by Battelle. The NEON program collects long-term, open access ecological data to better understand how U.S. ecosystems are changing.

Your responsibilities will include performing seasonal and periodic sampling of physical, chemical, and biological data at one or multiple field sites, exercising good judgment and decision-making abilities to interpret protocol requirements.
