Field Designer Assistant

Job Description
The Assistant Field Designer will work in conjunction with the Field Designer to evaluate residential rooftops while obtaining measurements and solar exposure data.

Responsibilities and Duties (including, but not limited to):
• Traveling to the project location to take measurements and collect information
• Measuring and photographing roof dimensions and roof-top obstructions
• Measuring and photographing roof rafters and other framing elements
• Maintaining thorough documentation of work, including photographs and data
• Following company vehicle rules and regulations
• Effectively communicating with sales partners

Qualifications and Experience:
• Comfortable working with VICAD, Excel, and Google Drive
• Ability to work safely on roofs for extended periods; ascend and descend ladders; and work at heights
• Experience working with electrical systems (i.e., removing covers from electrical panels)
• Comfortable entering attics and/or confined spaces
• Valid driver's license and a recent driving record (issued within the last six months), which you can obtain at https://mva.maryland.gov/drivers/Pages/driving-record-information.aspxDetail-oriented with the ability to work independently
