Job Description

The Common Market is seeking a Farm to Fork Procurement Manager in Atlanta, GA, to build relationships with local farmers and suppliers for sustainable product sourcing. This full-time, in-person role involves managing procurement processes, ensuring food safety, and collaborating with distribution teams. Candidates should have a degree in a relevant field and 4-6 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the food industry, with a passion for sustainable food systems.
The Common Market is excited to announce an opening for a Farm to Fork Procurement Manager to join our mission-driven team. This pivotal role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with local farmers and suppliers to ensure a steady sourcing of high-quality, sustainable products. The Farm to Fork Procurement Manager will play a key role in advancing our goal of connecting local food systems and supporting the agriculture community.

As the Farm to Fork Procurement Manager, you will oversee the procurement processes, maintain accurate inventory management, and work collaboratively with our distribution and sales teams. This position is essential in ensuring that we deliver fresh, local food to community partners, including schools, hospitals, and other organizations.

Responsibilities:
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with local farmers, producers, and suppliers to secure high-quality foods
• Manage the procurement cycle, including forecasting, ordering, and inventory management
• Ensure best practices in maintaining food safety regulations and quality standards across all warehouse processes
• Collaborate closely with the logistics and distribution teams to align procurement with operational capacity and customer demand
• Conduct market research to identify trends and new sourcing opportunities to diversify product offerings
• Participate in strategic planning meetings to align procurement goals with organizational objectives
• Oversight of the SQF food safety program as PCQI

This is a full-time in-person position at our East Point warehouse. Schedule is M-F 10AM-7PM

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a similar role, preferably within the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of sustainable agriculture practices and local food systems.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management and procurement software.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
