Job Description
Farm Manager SA is seeking a Facility Director in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in operational management, particularly in agricultural or industrial settings. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Agroforestry related field, Engineering, Business Administration, or other related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in operational management roles
• Demonstrated experience in agricultural, forestry, manufacturing, or industrial operations management
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and supply chain management
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to work independently
• Experience in business development and stakeholder management
• Strong problem-solving abilities and technical aptitude
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices preferred but not essential
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
• Oversee daily operations of the company production facility, ensuring efficient production processes, quality control, and compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, including raw material procurement, production scheduling, and product shipment coordination
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local customers, suppliers, and stakeholders while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the region
• Supervise and develop the local team, fostering a positive work culture and ensuring high performance standards
• Manage facility maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement solutions to minimize operational disruptions
• Serve as the primary liaison between local operations and management, providing regular updates on performance, challenges, and opportunities
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and maintain necessary permits and certifications
