Job Description
Farm Manager SA is seeking a Facility Director in Durban, South Africa. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Agroforestry, Engineering, or Business Administration, with at least 5 years of relevant experience, including operational management. Key responsibilities include overseeing production operations, managing supply chain processes, and fostering stakeholder relationships. Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of environmental regulations are preferred. The position offers a salary of ZAR 500K–ZAR 600K per year.
Bachelor's degree in Agroforestry related field, Engineering, Business Administration, or other related field
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in operational management roles
Demonstrated experience in agricultural, forestry, manufacturing, or industrial operations management
Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and supply chain management
Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to work independently
Experience in business development and stakeholder management
Strong problem-solving abilities and technical aptitude
Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices preferred but not essential
Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Oversee daily operations of the company production facility, ensuring efficient production processes, quality control, and compliance with safety and environmental standards
Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, including raw material procurement, production scheduling, and product shipment coordination
Build and maintain strong relationships with local customers, suppliers, and stakeholders while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the region
Supervise and develop the local team, fostering a positive work culture and ensuring high performance standards
Manage facility maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement solutions to minimize operational disruptions
Serve as the primary liaison between local operations and management, providing regular updates on performance, challenges, and opportunities
Ensure compliance with local regulations and maintain necessary permits and certifications
