About the Role

We’re looking for a Facebook Specialist to strengthen Planet Watch’s presence on Facebook through thoughtful content, community engagement, and platform stewardship. This role blends creativity, clarity, and technical knowhow to help us reach a broad, climate‑concerned audience.

Key Responsibilities
• Create and schedule Facebook posts aligned with Planet Watch’s campaigns and editorial themes
• Write warm, accessible, mission‑aligned captions and adapt content for Facebook formats
• Engage with comments and messages using empathy and clear climate communication
• Monitor conversations for misinformation and maintain a respectful community environment
• Manage Page roles, permissions, and security settings
• Track performance metrics and create recommendations
• Collaborate with social media and design teams to ensure cohesive messaging

Qualifications
• Experience managing Facebook Pages for nonprofits or mission-driven organizations
• Strong writing skills and comfort translating climate topics for broad audiences
• Understanding of Facebook tools, analytics, and best practices
• Collaborative communication style aligned with Planet Watch’s values
