About the position

The Export Manager at Green Worldwide Shipping, LLC will play a pivotal role in overseeing all air freight and ocean export activities. This position requires a strong focus on staffing, training, and maintaining compliance with established procedures, all while supporting sales and nurturing customer relationships. The Export Manager will be responsible for negotiating with airlines and vendors, managing profit and loss (P&L) oversight, and handling related accounting and operational activities. In this role, the Export Manager will ensure that the department adheres to both internal and external regulations, fostering a culture of compliance and excellence. The successful candidate will be tasked with the overall training and mentoring of staff, coordinating monthly department meetings to assess goal attainment, and communicating productivity and quality objectives. The Export Manager will also create value propositions to address customer challenges and drive new opportunities, while developing and maintaining internal processes that enhance customer service, productivity, and profitability. The position involves leading new business implementations by onboarding new customers in collaboration with the Sales or Branch Manager, as well as maintaining relationships with existing customers to support local and regional sales efforts. The Export Manager must be adept at working under pressure, meeting deadlines, and providing exemplary customer service. This includes negotiating rates and service agreements, nurturing relationships with key overseas colleagues, and managing the profit center to report on revenue generation and P&L. Additionally, the Export Manager will participate in vendor recruitment, review billing statuses, and enhance customer account profitability, ensuring timely and accurate billing while monitoring staff productivity and airline/carrier performance.

Responsibilities
• Manage all air freight and ocean export related activities.

• Oversee staffing with assistance and approval of the Branch Manager.

• Train and mentor staff, ensuring overall employee development.

• Coordinate monthly department meetings to verify goal attainment and communicate productivity and quality goals.

• Create value propositions to assist with customer challenges and drive opportunities.

• Develop and maintain internal processes to maximize customer service, productivity, and profitability.

• Ensure compliance with customer and Corporate KPIs and guidelines.

• Lead new business implementations by onboarding new customers in coordination with Sales or Branch Manager.

• Maintain existing customer relationships to support local/regional sales teams and bid submissions.

• Work under pressure to meet deadlines while providing exemplary customer service.
,
• Negotiate rates and service agreements with airlines and vendors.
,
• Nurture working relationships with key overseas company colleagues and business partners.
,
• Manage own profit center and report on revenue generation, profit, and loss.

• Participate in vendor recruitment and selection processes.

• Review billing status reports to enhance customer account profitability and ensure timely and accurate billing.

• Review monthly airline/carrier performance and P/L on a monthly basis.

• Monitor staff productivity and support sales by providing competitive rates for new customers.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• Customs/logistics experience.
,
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Positive attitude and excellent attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

• Strong time management and deadline management skills.
