Job Description

Nestlé Health Science is seeking an Environmental Sustainability Expert in Bridgewater, NJ, to manage GHG emissions and EPR reporting, ensuring compliance with climate targets. Position Summary:

We are seeking an Environmental Sustainability Expert to provide accurate, timely, and actionable insights on Greenhouse Gas (GHG) and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). Drive short and long-term strategies through prescriptive and descriptive analysis for Nestle Health Science.

Responsibilities:
• Manage GHG emissions and glidepath reporting, including data collection, emissions factor tracking, verification of reductions, and scenario planning across NHSc
• Manage EPR reporting, including data collection and validation across SKUs
• Monitor compliance with Nestlé global climate targets and audits
• Actively engage with and provide educational and competency development to internal technical teams to drive Nestlé’s Net Zero Roadmap and other climate initiatives
• Continuously adapt and learn as new legislation is introduced and/or key priorities change
• Provide data and software integration guidance from a sustainability perspective to ensure the efficient and effective use of technology across the NHSc technology environment
• Provide sustainability guidance to advanced analytics teams to ensure an end-to-end viewpoint for functional (sales, supply chain, marketing, etc.) solutions
• Create and maintain sustainability maps that visualize observed and calculated critical environmental and sustainability parameters in space
• Represent the sustainability viewpoint for end-to-end innovation projects to deliver business value

Requirements:
• Education : Bachelor's degree, preferably in Sustainability Management, Environmental Science, Data Management, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional experience, with 3+ years in sustainability, carbon accounting, and implementing GHG goals
• 5+ years of experience delivering software solutions as a product manager/owner
• 5+ years of working with geospatial (GIS) data sets
• 3+ years of experience managing geographically distributed integrated project teams
• 3+ years of experience analyzing raw ingredient materials and value-chain/Scope 3 GHG emissions, including knowledge of LCA software (preferred)
• Strong analytical and data management abilities
• Strong understanding of food and agriculture value chains, sustainability laws, regulations & policies
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Experience using Power BI or similar data visualization tool, preferred
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle, software acquisition lifecycle, and demonstrated experience in software management & development
• Ability to validate, manipulate, and interpret large amounts of data from multiple sources
• Ability to leverage internal and external data to create descriptive and predictive solutions for key business initiatives
• Proven experience in developing and publishing national level sustainability/environmental statistical products
• Proven experience engaging with industry leaders to facilitate knowledge sharing and innovation

The approximate pay range for this position is $112,000- $130,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
