The Society for Experiential Graphic Design is seeking an experienced Environmental Graphic Designer to join its collaborative team. The role involves designing impactful graphics and signage for various environments, ensuring compliance with codes, and managing projects from concept to installation. The experienced Environmental Graphic Designer we are seeking is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and loves bringing ideas to life in three dimensions. The ideal candidate understands how things are built, consistently designs with scale in mind, and is excited by the opportunity to turn concepts into fabricated realities.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign with solutions in mind—balancing aesthetics, client goals, and budget constraints.Develop and present creative concepts that comply with ADA and relevant code requirements.Think dimensionally—designing signage and graphics that work at scale and in context.Collaborate with general contractors, architects, fabricators, and internal team members to see projects through from concept to installation.Conduct site-specific research and develop strategic design approaches that align with project objectives.Contribute insights into structural, spatial, and planning considerations.Maintain strong client and vendor relationships through responsive communication and follow-through.Present designs internally and externally with clarity and professionalism.What We’re Looking ForProven experience managing multiple concurrent design projects from concept through production.Strong spatial awareness and ability to think three-dimensionally.Expertise in typography, color, and material usage across architectural signage and environmental applications.High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and visual.A collaborative spirit with a flexible, proactive approach to problem-solving.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced studio environment and adapt to shifting project needs.A curious, open-minded designer who enjoys learning and contributing to a team.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Environmental/Experiential Design, or a related 3D design field.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).Experience with AutoCAD or other drafting/modeling software is a strong plus.Professional experience in environmental graphics, signage, exhibit, architectural, or industrial design is required.What We OfferAt Century Sign Builders, we genuinely love what we do — and it shows in how we work together and the relationships we build.
