Executive Director of Corporate Banking

CFA Institute is seeking an Executive Director of Corporate Banking in Boston, MA. The role involves leading the Sponsor and Specialty Finance Group, managing senior debt investments, and building relationships with private equity firms. We are looking for a highly experienced professional to lead our Sponsor and Specialty Finance Group as Senior Managing Director. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the growth and development of our senior debt investments.
Key Accountabilities
• Originate and structure direct, lead opportunities for equity-sponsored cash flow senior debt transactions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with private equity firms, investment banks, and other industry participants.
• Manage a team of underwriters and portfolio managers to book and manage a sizeable portfolio of new senior debt investments.
• Collaborate with Bank's internal underwriting teams to facilitate due diligence processes.
• Advocate for new deals in credit approval process. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customers' financial condition and needs.
• Represent Webster in local community.

To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in finance, business, accounting, economics, or a related field, and 20+ years of experience in leverage finance originations, structuring, and cross-selling bank products and services.
