Wells Fargo is hiring an Executive Director, Commercial Banking Relationship Manager for the Emerging Middle Market in Shelton, CT. The role involves driving growth by building relationships with companies earning $25 million to $100 million, acquiring new business, and advising executives on financial strategies. Wells Fargo is seeking an Executive Director, Commercial Banking Relationship Manager to drive growth across the Connecticut market within our Emerging Middle Market Banking segment, serving companies with annual revenues of $25 million to $100 million.
This is an opportunity for an accomplished commercial banker with a strong presence in Connecticut to build deep client relationships, acquire new business, and serve as a trusted advisor to business owners, executives, and financial decision-makers. The successful candidate will leverage an established network and deep market knowledge to expand Wells Fargo's presence across the region while delivering the full breadth of the firm's commercial banking capabilities.
Working closely with senior leaders, credit partners, and product specialists, this individual will help privately held, family-owned, and sponsor-backed businesses navigate growth initiatives, capital investments, acquisitions, liquidity management, and other strategic business objectives.
In this role you will:
Develop and execute a market-driven growth strategy focused on acquiring and expanding relationships with Emerging Middle Market companies throughout ConnecticutBuild and maintain trusted advisor relationships with CEOs, CFOs, business owners, private equity sponsors, and other key decision-makersGenerate new business opportunities through prospecting, referral networks, centers of influence, industry associations, and community engagementStructure and deliver commercial banking solutions including cash flow lending, treasury management, commercial real estate financing, and other strategic banking productsLead relationship planning efforts and coordinate internal partners to deliver comprehensive client solutionsLeverage the full capabilities of Wells Fargo to help clients achieve their growth, capital, and operational objectivesMaintain strong pipeline management and sales discipline to drive consistent business development activity and revenue growthProvide market insight and client intelligence to support strategic initiatives across the Commercial BankRepresent Wells Fargo throughout the Connecticut business community and serve as a visible ambassador of the franchise
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of Commercial Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationCompletion of a formal credit training program or equivalent commercial credit experienceDesired Qualifications
Proven success developing and growing commercial banking relationships with companies generating $25 million to $100 million in annual revenue.Demonstrated ability to acquire new client relationships and deliver sustained revenue growthEstablished network of business owners, private equity professionals, attorneys, accountants, and other influential centers of influence throughout ConnecticutStrong understanding of commercial lending, treasury management, and broader commercial banking solutionsAbility to structure and discuss complex financing solutions with executive leadership teamsStrong business development, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skillsExperience partnering across product, credit, and risk organizations to deliver sophisticated client solutionsExisting relationships across Fairfield County and key Connecticut markets including Stamford, Greenwich, Norwalk, Westport, Danbury, and New HavenStrong understanding of the Connecticut middle-market business landscape and competitive banking environment.Job Expectations:

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
