EV Battery Service Technician - Regional Traveling Position
Must be willing to travel regionally for 3 weeks at a time. This is a 3 weeks on/1 week off schedule.*

About the Role

We are seeking a EV Battery Service Technician with specialized experience in Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) inverters. This regional traveling position involves inspecting, testing, and maintaining BESS inverters and related high-voltage systems at various industrial and commercial sites. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with BESS inverter technologies, high-voltage electrical systems, and a strong understanding of energy storage applications.

Key Responsibilities
• Inspect, test, and service BESS inverters to ensure optimal performance and compliance with OEM specifications.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on inverter systems, including troubleshooting electrical faults and implementing solutions.
• Collect and document system validation results, including inverter efficiency, output capacity, and voltage measurements.
• Install, update, and configure controls-related firmware and software on inverter systems.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols when working with high-voltage equipment.
• Coordinate logistics for transporting non-functional inverter components to recycling or repair facilities.
• Operate mechanical lifting equipment for inverter installation and maintenance tasks.
• Provide direct support to customers, addressing technical issues and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications
• Proven experience working with BESS inverters in industrial or commercial energy storage applications.
• Knowledge of high-voltage and direct current (DC) electrical equipment and principles.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to inverter systems.
• Willingness to work a 3-weeks-on/1-week-off schedule and travel regionally for extended periods.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Leadership, accountability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Compensation & Benefits
• Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour (based on national average).
