Based in our Vercelli facility, you will have the opportunity to shape one of Europe's most ambitious innovation projects, combining industry-leading technology, sustainable operations, and collaborative research.

As the European Innovation Hub Manager, you will be part of a dynamic team of engineers in a state-of-the-art laboratory environment that sits at the intersection of customer experience, sustainability, and technological advancement. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive meaningful impact across Amazon's global operations while championing solutions that benefit both our customers and the environment. You will have the unique opportunity to pioneer the development of a state-of-the-art innovation facility , creating an immersive experience for clients, partners and stakeholders.

In this position, you'll be at the forefront of developing and implementing next-generation mechatronics and sustainable packaging solutions that enhance the customer experience. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate within a highly skilled team, foster innovation through continuous improvement initiatives, and serve as a key ambassador for Amazon's technological capabilities both internally and externally. The lab serves as a crucial hub for testing, validation, and advancement of technologies that will shape how millions of customers receive their Amazon packages.

This role combines technical depth with leadership skills needed to drive organizational success. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence strategic decisions, and have the platform to make a lasting impact on Amazon's sustainability goals and customer satisfaction metrics. A day in the life
• Develop and implement the hub's strategic vision and business plan
• Create and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders
• Drive the development of innovative solutions and research programs
• Manage the hub's budget, financials and operational KPIs
• Oversee facility operations and experience design
• Oversee lab operations including equipment maintenance, safety protocols, and testing procedures
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for lab processes and test methodologies
• Represent the Lab capabilities both internally and externally

Basic Qualifications
• Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Profound and demonstrated experience with proven track record in innovation leadership
• Strong business acumen and budget management experience
• Experience in building and managing innovation centers or research facilities
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships
• Excellence in stakeholder management and communication
• Proficiency in hardware prototyping, testing methodologies, and validation processes
• Strong understanding of mechanical/robotics systems
• Experience with CAD software and other relevant engineering tools
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and safety regulations
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Fluent in English and Italian
• Flexibility to travel +50% internationally
