Job Description

Rosetta Hospitality is seeking an Estate Supervisor (Horticulture Supervisor) in Hassan, Karnataka, India. The role involves planning and coordinating horticultural activities, supervising staff, managing budgets, and ensuring plant care and maintenance. Key qualifications include a degree in horticulture or related fields and 2-3 years of experience in horticulture or landscaping. Core Responsibilities
• Planning and Coordination:
• Develop and implement work schedules for horticultural staff.
• Plan planting, pruning, irrigation, and fertilization schedules.
• Coordinate with clients, managers, or stakeholders to meet project goals.
• Plant Care and Maintenance:
• Supervise the planting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, and pest control of plants, shrubs, and trees.
• Monitor plant health and diagnose issues like diseases or pest infestations.
• Ensure proper maintenance of lawns, gardens, greenhouses, or nursery areas.
• Team Supervision:
• Train, guide, and supervise horticultural workers or gardeners.
• Assign tasks and ensure quality standards are met.
• Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback or additional training as needed.
• Equipment and Resource Management:
• Oversee the use, maintenance, and repair of tools, machinery, and irrigation systems.
• Ensure proper storage and inventory of horticultural supplies like fertilizers, pesticides, and seeds.
• Health and Safety:
• Implement safety protocols to protect workers and visitors.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and workplace safety standards.
• Educate staff on safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Budget and Record Keeping:
• Manage budgets for horticultural projects or operations.
• Maintain accurate records of planting schedules, inventory, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare reports on project progress or operational performance.
• Design and Innovation:
• Contribute to landscape or garden design projects.
• Introduce innovative techniques or sustainable practices to improve productivity and environmental impact.
• Customer and Public Interaction:
• Communicate with clients, community members, or visitors about horticultural projects.
• Provide guidance on plant care or landscaping techniques.
• Organize workshops, events, or tours (in public gardens or educational settings).
