ESG & Sustainability Consultant

TheSustainabilityCloud is hiring an ESG & Sustainability Consultant in Gurugram, India. The role involves expertise in ESG frameworks, collaboration on climate-related projects, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory monitoring. Candidates should have a degree in Environmental Science or related fields, with 1-2 years of relevant experience. Strong communication skills and a passion for sustainability are essential. • Knowledge and working experience of ESG frameworks, such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), CSRD, TNFD and other popular global reporting standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate climate considerations into various aspects of operations, including supply chain management, product development, and corporate sustainability initiatives.
• Provide technical expertise and support in renewable energy projects, energy efficiency improvements, and carbon offset initiatives.
• Engage with external stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and industry partners, to advocate for climate policies and foster partnerships for collective action.
• Monitor regulatory developments and emerging trends in climate science to ensure compliance and inform strategic planning.
• Develop and deliver training programs and educational materials to raise awareness and build capacity on climate-related issues within the organization.
• Strong understanding of relevant climate/Sustainability regulations, reporting requirements, and emerging trends in different industries.Stay updated on industry trends and seek continuous learning and development opportunities.
• Keeping yourself updated with our product update and domain knowledge.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in climate change mitigation, adaptation, or related areas.
• Demonstrated track record of leading successful climate-related projects or initiatives in a corporate or organizational setting.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and external partners on climate-related issues.
• Proven ability to manage complex datasets and perform statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and carbon accounting methodologies.

Good to have :
• Master's degree or higher in environmental science, climate policy, or related discipline.
• Professional certifications in climate change, sustainability, or related fields (e.g., LEED, ISO 14001).
• Experience in conducting life cycle assessments or environmental impact assessments.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies such as carbon capture and storage, renewable energy systems, and circular economy principles.
• Fluency in multiple languages, particularly those relevant to international climate negotiations.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and advocacy campaigns.
