Job Description
Northrop Grumman seeks an Environmental Sustainability Specialist in Palmdale, CA. The role involves managing environmental compliance programs and leading a team of engineers. Job Summary
This position will report to the site Environmental, Safety, Health and Medical Manager and manage a team of environmental engineers with a focus on regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include developing, administrating and implementing environmental programs in accordance with governmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managing compliance programs including air quality management programs, industrial water and drinking water regulatory compliance programs, hazardous waste handling and disposal, chemical tracking systems and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
• Collaboration with other site ESHM Managers to harmonize company ESHM policies and procedures
• Manage department budget and identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of EHS experience or a Masters degree and 7 years of EHS experience
• 2-3 years of Leadership/ Supervisory or Lead experience
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Special Program Access
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous DoD, Military or Aerospace facilities experience
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
