Verdantas is seeking an Environmental Sustainability Manager in Pawtucket, RI, responsible for managing due diligence assessments, environmental monitoring, and reporting for various projects. The role requires strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking, overseeing site investigations and remediation efforts. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in a related field, 5-10 years of relevant experience, and preferred certifications. This is a full-time position.
Job Overview

As a key member of our team, the Environmental Project Manager will play a pivotal role in managing due diligence assessments, environmental monitoring, and reporting activities for multiple projects across various sectors. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and a sense of pride and ownership in delivering high-quality results to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of site investigation, conceptual model development, and remediation with full responsibilities for multiple projects.
• Establish and maintain working relationships with peers, junior staff, clients, and vendors to develop scopes of work, written proposals, and final deliverables.
• Oversee field and peer staff, subcontractors, client representatives, and other stakeholders to meet project schedules and milestones, manage project financial performance, and bring projects to successful completion.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5-10 years of experience in site investigation, conceptual model development, and remediation with 2-6 years of project management experience.
• Understanding of state and Federal environmental regulatory frameworks in the Northeast; experience in ASTM/AAI transactional due diligence.
• Experience with proposal preparation accompanied by strong technical writing skills.
• Demonstrated experience with site characterization, environmental sampling techniques, methodologies (soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, soil vapor, indoor air, etc.), data analysis, remediation technologies, etc.
• Experience managing staff, subcontractors, and client representatives.
• Project Management certification preferred.
• PG or PE License preferred.
