Job Description

Skanska is seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager for the Lower Thames Crossing Kent Roads Project in Kent, WA. This role involves implementing environmental management strategies, identifying risks and opportunities, and collaborating with teams to promote sustainability in infrastructure projects. We are looking for an experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager to lead our team on the Lower Thames Crossing Kent Roads Project. This role will be pivotal to deliver the client's ambition to push the boundaries of sustainability and to set a new standard for how we procure, design and construct infrastructure that will forge the way to net zero

What you'll do:
• Implement excellent environmental management on major infrastructure projects
• Identify, appraise, and communicate environmental risks and opportunities
• Manage environmental specialists, consultants, and suppliers to develop plans and meet commitments
• Collaborate with customers and partners to evolve systems, share good practices, lessons learned, and innovations
• Support the Lead Environmental Sustainability Manager in delivering best practice initiatives and improvement projects

What you'll bring to the role:
• Degree in Environmental or related discipline, or relevant experience
• Experience in construction industry or similar sector
• Proven track record in environmental management for major construction projects, especially during planning stages
• Full Membership with IEMA or equivalent
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel
