Resource Management Solutions is seeking an Environmental Support Professional for Water and Waste Programs in Los Angeles, CA. This entry to mid-level role requires up to seven years of experience in stormwater and wastewater practices. Responsibilities include field inspections, sample collection, compliance monitoring, and assisting in the development of environmental plans and reports. A bachelor's degree in environmental science or engineering is required.
A leading A/E/C consulting firm has an immediate need for an Environmental Support Professional to support and consult on and support various Los Angeles Metro projects. This is an entry to mid-level position with the ideal candidate having up to seven years of experience as an environmental professional working in stormwater and wastewater environmental practices, among other areas of environmental practice. Competitive compensation is offered commensurate with professional experience.

A leading A/E/C consulting firm has an immediate need for an Environmental Support Professional to support and consult on and support various Los Angeles Metro projects. This is an entry to mid-level position with the ideal candidate having up to seven years of experience as an environmental professional working in the following environmental practice areas:
• Industrial stormwater, construction stormwater, and industrial wastewater
• Collecting field samples of stormwater runoff and non-stormwater discharges; conducting stormwater field inspections of construction projects
• Collecting air, soil, or aqueous samples for analysis
• Conducting field inspections and documenting compliance with project environmental requirements
• Performing field tests on various media
• Inspecting waste pretreatment, treatment, and disposal facilities and systems; Recording flow meter readings
• Reviewing spill prevention programs and hazardous waste handling plans and making recommendations for corrective actions for spills and contaminated materials
• Confirming hazardous chemicals are handled, stored, and disposed of in accordance with applicable regulations; Ensure liquid and solid waste (hazardous and non-hazardous) compliance
• Evaluating container labels for accuracy and conformance to regulations
• Communicating deficiencies and necessary environmental controls to Metro
• Monitoring for compliance with environmental permits and authorizations; Responsible for reviewing permits, licenses, applications, and records to ensure compliance and report violations to Los Angeles Metro
• Preparing daily written inspection reports that provide up-to-date and consistent written and photographic documentation of activities observed in the field

The environmental support professional will assist Los Angeles Metro in the development of plans, reports, permit applications, and documents including:
• Industrial stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs)
• Construction SWPPPs
• Wastewater permit applications

This role will also be required to:
• Review and evaluate environmental documents prepared by others
• Review and evaluate construction plans and drawings relative to environmental compliance
• Aid in tracking and management of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes
• Aid in maintaining compliance with environmental regulations
• Attend meetings as requested, and make recommendations to Metro in support of its overall objectives.
• The ideal candidate will be highly organized and willing to learn and adapt to Metro policies and procedures.
• 1-7 years of previous experience in a highly-professional consulting setting in a client-facing role
• A bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or similar is required.
• Similar previous experience is desired but not required.
• Certification as a QSP, QISP, and/or QSD are desired but not required.

The following safety training certifications are desired and may be requested if the candidate does not already have them:
• HAZWOPER 40
• OSHA 10
• OSHA 30
