Job Description
DM AIRPORTS LTD is seeking an Environmental Specialist for Morristown Airport. The role involves ensuring environmental compliance, managing permits, liaising with regulatory bodies, and conducting inspections. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree, 3-5 years of experience, and familiarity with NJDEP regulations. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. The position requires flexibility for on-call duties and is a full-time role based on-site.
As Environmental Specialist, you will be critical to the environmental compliance of Morristown Airport. Reporting to the Director of Business Administration and Risk Management, the Environmental Specialist will play a key role in the development and enforcement of environmental policies and programs, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and overseeing various environmental matters.
Acting as the Airport’s representative, the Environmental Specialist will manage the Airport’s environmental permits, review contractor deliverables, and liaise with regulatory bodies. The Environmental Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining environmental training programs, conducting inspections, and assisting in environmental incident/emergency response. The role requires a balance between on-the-ground environmental oversight and administrative tasks, with an emphasis on teamwork and adaptability in a small company environment.

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
• 3-5 year’s work experience in related field.
• Familiarity with NJDEP regulations required.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to handle multitasking.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Able to work a flexible/on-call schedule as needed, such as in the event of an aircraft emergency or an environmental incident.
• Signed Confidentiality Agreement upon hire.
