Job Description
PPL Corp is seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist in Harrisburg, PA, responsible for ensuring environmental compliance with laws and regulations. The role involves developing strategies, monitoring impacts, and collaborating with departments. Candidates should have a degree in environmental science or related field and at least 5 years of experience. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills are essential. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $46,946–$78,957.
We at PPL Corp are looking for an experienced Environmental Specialist to join our team and help us ensure environmental compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. As an Environmental Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental strategies and processes, as well as monitoring the environmental impact of our activities.The ideal candidate should have a degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field, as well as a minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental compliance. You should have a thorough understanding of environmental regulations, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and have the ability to work as part of a team. Responsibilities:
Develop and implement environmental strategies and processes to ensure compliance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.
Monitor the environmental impact of company activities.
Research and analyze environmental regulations to ensure they are up to date.
Work with other departments to ensure environmental compliance is maintained.
Prepare reports and presentations to document compliance.
Provide advice and guidance to management on environmental compliance.
Participate in environmental audits and assessments.
Identify and report environmental violations.
Work closely with regulatory agencies to ensure environmental objectives are met.
Train employees on environmental procedures and policies.
