Level 1 Environmental Specialist

Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 1-5 years in environmental sampling and compliance.
• Knowledge & Skills:
• Basic knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting processes.
• Experience operating power boats and watercraft.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in environmental management software and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities:

Environmental Compliance
• Monitor and ensure water quality compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Conduct environmental audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
• Stay updated on evolving environmental regulations and implement necessary changes proactively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability practices into daily operations.

Environmental Risk Management
• Assess and mitigate environmental risks associated with company operations.
• Support the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure environmental compliance and minimize environmental impact.
