Environmental & Social Impact Specialist (Cat. II)

NTU International A/S is hiring an Environmental & Social Impact Specialist for a project in Bulgaria, starting July 2025, lasting 20 months. Candidates need a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related fields, with at least 10 years of experience in environmental assessments. Proficiency in GIS and knowledge of EU regulations are advantageous. The position is based in Cagliari, Italy, and is full-time.
NTU International A/S is a leading entity in a consortium implementing the EIB funded Public Sector Loan Facility Advisory for the Maritsa East Complex project.

The project will be based in Bulgaria.

The intended start date is July 2025, with an implementation period of 20 months.
About the Position:

We are seeking a Key Expert: Environmental & Social Impact Specialist (Cat. II) to support our core team during the project's implementation.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
• A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or Environmental Engineering (minimum requirement).
• Excellent knowledge of both written and spoken English (minimum requirement).
• Proficiency in GIS and environmental impact modelling tools is considered an asset.
General Professional Experience:
• At least 10 years of professional experience in environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA) for energy and industrial projects (minimum requirement).
Specific Professional Experience:
• Expertise in EU environmental regulations, permitting, and impact mitigation strategies is considered an asset.
• Experience conducting Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA) and EIA compliance assessments for renewable energy and industrial projects is considered an asset.
