Environmental & Social Impact Specialist (Cat. II)

NTU International A/S is seeking an Environmental & Social Impact Specialist for a project in Bulgaria, starting July 2025 for a duration of 20 months. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related fields and at least 10 years of experience in environmental assessments for energy and industrial projects. Proficiency in GIS and knowledge of EU regulations are preferred.
NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EIB funded project called: Public Sector Loan Facility Advisory for the Maritsa East Complex and is searching for experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.

Location: Bulgaria.

Duration: The intended start date is July 2025 (the “ Start Date ”) and the period of implementation of the Assignment will be 20 months from this date (the “ Period of Implementation ”).

☝️ Qualifications and skills:
At least a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or Environmental Engineering ( minimum requirement ). Excellent knowledge of both written and spoken English ( minimum requirement ). Proficiency in GIS and environmental impact modelling tools will be considered an asset .

☝️ General professional experience:
At least 10 years of professional experience in environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA) for energy and industrial projects ( minimum requirement ).

☝️ Specific professional experience:
Expertise in EU environmental regulations, permitting, and impact mitigation strategies will be considered will be considered an asset . Experience conducting Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA) and EIA compliance assessments for renewable energy and industrial projects will be considered an asset .
