Job Description

NTU International A/S is hiring an Environmental & Social Impact Specialist for a project in Bulgaria, starting July 2025 for 20 months. The role involves conducting environmental and social impact assessments for energy and industrial projects. Candidates need a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, 10 years of experience in ESIA, and knowledge of EU regulations. Proficiency in GIS tools is a plus.
NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of an EIB-funded project, the Public Sector Loan Facility Advisory for the Maritsa East Complex. We are seeking experts to support our core team during this project's implementation.

Location: Bulgaria.

Duration: The intended start date is July 2025, and the project will last for 20 months.
About the Project

The Public Sector Loan Facility Advisory for the Maritsa East Complex is a significant undertaking in the field of environmental impact assessment. As a key expert, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the project meets the highest standards of sustainability and social responsibility.
Your Responsibilities
• You will be responsible for conducting environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA) for energy and industrial projects.
• You will work closely with our core team to develop and implement strategies for mitigating environmental impacts.
Requirements
• A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or Environmental Engineering is required.
• Excellent knowledge of both written and spoken English is essential.
• Proficiency in GIS and environmental impact modelling tools is considered an asset.
Professional Experience
• At least 10 years of professional experience in ESIA for energy and industrial projects is required.
• Expertise in EU environmental regulations, permitting, and impact mitigation strategies is considered an asset.
• Experience conducting Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA) and EIA compliance assessments for renewable energy and industrial projects is also an asset.
