Environmental & Social Impact Specialist (Cat. II)

NTU International A/S is hiring an Environmental & Social Impact Specialist for a project in Bulgaria, starting July 2025 for 20 months. Candidates need a Bachelor's in Environmental Science or related fields, with at least 10 years of experience in environmental and social impact assessments. Proficiency in GIS and knowledge of EU regulations are preferred. The position is full-time and based in Catania, Italy.
NTU International A/S leads a consortium for the implementation of the EIB-funded project: Public Sector Loan Facility Advisory for the Maritsa East Complex. We seek experts to support our core team during project implementation.

Location: Bulgaria.

Duration: The intended start date is July 2025, with a 20-month period of implementation from this date.
Key Expert: Environmental & Social Impact Specialist (Cat. II)

Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or Environmental Engineering (minimum requirement).
• Excellent written and spoken English skills (minimum requirement).
• Proficiency in GIS and environmental impact modeling tools is an asset.

General Professional Experience:
• At least 10 years of experience in environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA) for energy and industrial projects (minimum requirement).

Specific Professional Experience:
• Expertise in EU environmental regulations, permitting, and impact mitigation strategies is an asset.
• Experience conducting Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA) and EIA compliance assessments for renewable energy and industrial projects is an asset.
