Environmental Services Technician

CommonSpirit Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician in Grand Island, NE. Responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting areas, operating cleaning equipment, managing waste disposal, and adhering to safety practices. A high school diploma is preferred, but no experience is required. The role offers benefits such as health/dental/vision insurance, paid vacation, and a $1,500 sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities

Some of what you will do:

1. Cleans and disinfects patient, ancillary and public areas as assigned daily following established procedures.

2. Operates manual, battery-powered and electric equipment such as mechanical floor cleaners and vacuums. Maintains and stores all equipment in a safe, sanitary manner.

3. Collects, handles and disposes of designated waste streams and soiled linens in the prescribed manner.

4. Completes stat and routine discharge room cleans.

5. Adheres to all hospital required Safety, Risk Management and Infection Control practices

6. Identifies and reports work orders for maintenance/refurbishing needs.

7. Inspects EVS equipment for cleanliness and need for repair.
