La Crosse County, Wisconsin is hiring an Environmental Services Assistant for Hillview Health Care Center. The role involves housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a clean environment, requiring teamwork and attention to detail. The position offers $15.00/hr with a weekend differential and holiday pay. Candidates should preferably have a high school diploma or GED, with experience in facility cleaning and working with geriatric populations being a plus.

Every Other Weekend - The NEW minimum starting wage is $15.00/hr + great weekend differential of $1.00/hr for hours worked. Time and one-half pay on the following holidays: July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

See job description on our website for full list of duties and qualifications. Cleans, dusts and cares for floors, windows, walls in resident living areas and other areas as assigned. Disinfects bathroom floors, walls, toilets, sinks, showers, utility room and equipment, etc. Empties and cleans waste baskets. Replenish supplies such as soap, sanitizer, paper towels and bathroom tissue in resident rooms and common areas. Follow isolation policies and procedures when sanitizing isolation rooms. Works alongside other team members to meet the individualized needs of each resident. Maintains pleasant disposition, and displays compassion and a smile at all times when dealing with residents. Assist with passing meals to residents. Maintains a safe, clean environment free of hazards. After meals, assures that dining area floors, tables, chairs and wheelchairs, etc. are cleaned of food and liquids. Complete necessary laundry tasks such as receiving, classifying, sorting, marking, inspecting, folding, counting and checking laundry. Collects, counts and delivers linens and personal clothing. Operate large scale commercial laundry equipment.

•Preference for graduation from an accredited high school, or GED.

•Preference for individuals with prior experience performing facility cleaning.

•May consider other equivalent combination of training and experience.

•Prefer experience working with geriatric populations but not required.

•Must have good work record and must successfully complete background check to be in compliance with Wisconsin Caregiver Law.
