Services Aide! This position offers possible shift differentials and the
opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining a pristine and welcoming
space for patients, visitors, and staff. The successful candidate will
have a keen eye for detail, a commitment to health and safety standards,
and a strong work ethic.
• Your Impact
Patient Rooms And Public Areas
• Clean patient rooms, offices, and public areas.
• Prepare rooms for new patients.
• Respond to emergencies regarding cleanliness.
• Inspect rooms according to standards.
• Notify superiors of any damage or disturbances.
Cleaning And Maintenance
• Perform general cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc.).
• Empty trash cans and replace liners.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables properly.
• Maintain hospital property through regular cleaning.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment.
• Report any maintenance issues.
Health And Safety
• Transport medical waste and other infectious materials.
• Follow hospital policies for bio-hazardous materials.
• Handle and dispose of waste according to regulations.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
Department Support
• Participate in on-call schedules and cross-training.
• Assist in event planning.

### Requirements

• What We're Looking For*
Education, Training, Or Certifications
• Ability to read and interpret work assignments.
• Valid drivers license may be required.
• High school diploma is a plus.
Experience
• Previous experience as a cleaner or housekeeper preferred but not
required.
Special Requirements
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment and tools.
• Understanding of healthcare sanitation procedures.
• Physical stamina and mobility.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
Physical Demands
• Ability to be on feet most of the shift.
• Ability to lift, pull, push, stoop, and reach.
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
• Adequate vision.
• No significant allergy to dust or cleaning supplies.
Work Environment
• Hospital setting with varying shift schedules.
• Work in the presence of other employees, patients, and visitors.
• Exposure to hazardous waste and body fluids.
• Work with floor strippers and harsh chemical fumes.
• Work outdoors in incle ment weather.
• Withstand equipment heat and noise.
Reporting Structure
• Reports to the Environmental Services Supervisor.
