Salary Range: $115,000-$145,000 USD

Pinchin is a multidisciplinary consulting firm that provides a wide range of engineering, building sciences, environmental, civil, and occupational health and safety solutions across the US and Canada. We are facing significant growth as we expand our operations and service offerings across the country. We’re looking for a bright and motivated Environmental Senior Project Manager to join our Building Science & Resiliency team in the Los Angeles/Orange County/Inland Empire regions.

As the ideal candidate, you are excited to join our project team to help our clients make informed decisions regarding transactional due-diligence services, capital planning, and asset management. In this role you will learn about the business, build your own professional network and work closely with senior professionals in the industry. The Environmental Senior Project Manager position is ideal for someone looking to build their skills for career advancement and professional growth. The ideal candidate will be familiar with engineering services for the insurance industry and have at least 4 years of experience in the engineering, assessment, and consulting industry.

A Day in the life of Senior Project Manager
• Partner with Health & Safety to ensure best practices are followed.
• Lead project teams in the execution of technical project work, and perform senior review, and client management duties where appropriate.
• Assist the Manager in developing and implementing regional strategies aligned with the Company’s goals.
• Oversee project budgets and keep staff on task.
• Meet with clients and attend Client and Industry organization meetings/events.
• Work to foster strong relationships with existing Clients and develop new Clients.
• Lead project team, providing direction, mentorship, coaching, and fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
• Gather opportunities for work and then prepare/review proposals for potential work.
• Assist the Manager to help drive a culture of effective people management and career development with a focus on growth and preparing successors for key roles.
• Engage in professional organizations, attend conferences when necessary, and/or contribute to technical committees in line with their field of work.
• Lead by example in the office and in the field in accordance with Pinchin’s Core Values and desired culture.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring To The Pinchin Team
• 4 years experience in the construction/building industry.
• 1 plus years of previous management experience.
• Technical understanding of building enclosure systems (waterproofing, roofing, facades, glazing, fenestrations, air/vapor barriers, etc.) and construction.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Project management and budgeting experience.
• Demonstrated success in client acquisition and retention.
• Ability to effectively plan and execute projects, prioritizing work, and communicating scope changes in a timely manner.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication, analytical, attention to detail, and organization skills are critical to success in this position.
• Must be detail-oriented and a team player.
• Experienced with typical Microsoft Office Suite to support and run a business.
• Valid driver’s license and an adequate motor vehicle report.
• Ability to travel 30% of time outside of immediate region.
• Ability to visit projects/job sites and work outside during all seasons. This may include working from ladders, boom-lifts, scaffolds, swing stages, and rooftops.
• Ability to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, and the ability to pass a company physical.

Preferred Requirements
• 6+ plus years of direct work experience in the construction industry.
• Technical or bachelor’s degree in a related field (engineering, architecture, construction management, etc.).
• Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, or Licensed General Contractor is a plus.
• IIBEC, LEED, CSI, PMI, or other industry credentials are a plus.
• Ability to bring in building science work to the team.
• Knowledge of applicable construction and testing standards (ASTM, AAMA, etc.), and the ability to train staff in the setup and execution of tests.
• Strong graphic communications skills (sketches/drafting).
• Skillful in detailed analysis (calculations/modeling).
• Experience in the forensic assessment and rehabilitation of existing building enclosures.
• Experience in the commissioning of building enclosures.
