partner staffing on behalf of our Client, we seek a motivated and experienced Environmental Scientist/Technician to join our clients team in Grande Prairie Central. This role involves managing environmental site assessments, coordinating remediation and reclamation activities, and collaborating with clients, regulators, and team members to ensure project success.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities:
• Lead and execute environmental site assessments (Phase I, II, and III).
• Assist with Planning, budgets, and management of reclamation and remediation projects.
• Develop project timelines, deliverables, and client reporting.
• Supervise and conduct field activities, including soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, and vegetation assessments.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during fieldwork.
• Manage subcontractors and coordinate equipment and logistics.
• Prepare and review technical reports, including site assessment and remediation plans.
• Conduct regulatory submissions and liaise with government agencies regarding permitting and compliance
• Provide recommendations for site-specific reclamation and remediation strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Communicate technical findings and project progress effectively to non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or C.E.T, EIT, P.Ag, Professional Environmental Engineer in Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in reclamation and remediation.
• Familiarity with Saskatchewan-specific regulations.
• Strong understanding of soil science, vegetation management, and hydrology.
• Proven track record in managing environmental projects and meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency in GIS, data management software considered an asset.
