• *About the Role:**
The State of Delaware is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Scientist II to join our team. This role will be responsible for assisting the Quality Assurance Coordinator in implementing the Division's Ambient Air Monitoring Network (AAMN) quality assurance program.
In this position, you will perform level 1 and 2 validations on data collected by the AAMN and assist with the internal audit program. You will also provide support for the QAC to ensure that all personnel understand how Delaware's QA policy aligns with all pertinent U.S. EPA QA policies and regulations specific to monitoring various air pollutants.

Essential Functions:
• Conduct field studies or inspections and evaluations for compliance with permit and regulatory requirements.
• Observe, collect, analyze, review, and interpret data from standard field studies, compliance inspections, various regulatory submissions, or literature and make recommendations.
• Perform statistical analysis of data.
• Conduct technical reviews and make recommendations on permit applications or other various regulatory submissions to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Prepare permits, technical reports, and/or enforcement case documents.
• Respond to technical/regulatory inquiries from other state, local, and federal agencies as well as public and private organizations or individuals.
