Environmental Scientist / Soil Sampling Technician

Anders Environmental is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Soil Sampling Technician in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves independently collecting soil samples using various equipment and conducting field tests. Candidates should have 2-3 years of environmental experience, be mechanically inclined, and able to work outdoors in all weather. Environmental Sampling Technicians work independently collecting soil samples on one or more job sites. The technicians operate various types of generators, air compressors, pumps and tools to provide samples. A technician will test for soil using field meters, take precise notes and collect soil samples that will be taken to a laboratory for analysis.

Qualifications
• Must have outdoor work experience and be willing and able to work outdoors 100% of the time in all weather conditions
• 2-3 years of Environmental Experience
• Must be mechanically inclined with experience operating and troubleshooting tools and equipment
• Must be able to work independently on a job site
• Must be a team player and work well with others
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean DMV record.
• Good ability to read maps
• Must be able to work full-time
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test
• 40 Hr. OSHA Hazwoper Training is a plus, but we will provide the right candidate with that training
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• College degree with science or environmental majors preferred
• HAZWOPER 40 hr Training (Preferred)
• Driver’s License (Required)
