Job Description
Associated Engineering is seeking a Junior Environmental Scientist for their Regina, SK office. Responsibilities include promoting health and safety, executing field programs, data evaluation, and supporting project management. Candidates should have a degree in environmental science or related fields, relevant experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in challenging environments. Job Description
We currently have an opening for a Junior Environmental Scientist in our Regina office.
Responsibilities include the following:
• Participating actively in promoting a strong health and safety culture in the team.
• Communicating and coordinating with clients and contractors.
• Executing field programs, including collecting and analyzing field data from soil, surface and groundwater sampling, water supply well drilling, borehole logging, and hydraulic well tests.
• Evaluating data and technical reporting of:
• Groundwater monitoring;
• Aquifer testing;
• Soil sampling;
• Environmental Site Assessments.
• Supporting project managers, including proposal writing, scheduling, and project close-out.
• Supporting on-going business development efforts, including preparation of work plans, scopes, and budgets.
Job Requirements
What you will bring:
• Undergraduate degree or applied technical diploma in environmental science, geology, physical geography, earth science, chemistry, water resources, or an equivalent area of practice.
• Relevant work experience in a related field; consulting experience is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with technical and non-technical clients and contractors.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Experience working safely in remote areas and extreme environments and weather conditions.
• Familiarity with Saskatchewan regulations and guidelines.
• Eligibility to become registered with a professional association (e.g., P. Geo., P.Ag., PTech) is an asset.
