Job Description

Wallace Montgomery is hiring an Environmental Scientist - Ecological Restoration in Cockeysville, MD. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in natural resources, permitting, and ecological restoration. Responsibilities include wetland delineations, permitting, restoration, agency coordination, and monitoring. A bachelor's degree in a related field is required; a master's is preferred. Proficiency in MS Office, GIS, and CAD is advantageous. This is an office position with some fieldwork.
Seeking an Environmental Scientist or Engineer in any of our office locations with 5 or more years of experience working in natural resources, permitting, and ecological restoration. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Wetland delineations and reporting
• Section 404/401 permitting
• Wetland and stream restoration
• Agency coordination
• Geomorphic assessment
• Functional assessment
• Living shoreline/shoreline protection
• Monitoring of streams, wetlands, and stormwater facilities
• Developing construction documents (plans, specifications, estimates)

A bachelors degree in environmental science, ecology, civil engineering, agricultural/biological engineering, water resources engineering or related field, masters degree is a plus. Experience with MS Office, GIS, and CAD preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.

Experience working in Mid-Atlantic region (Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Pennsylvania) preferred.

This is an office position with some field time requirements. The position can grow toward a leadership role in the firm.
