Job Description And Duties

Standard State application (STD 678) is required. Applications will be screened and only the most qualified candidates will be interviewed.

Under the general direction of a Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisory), the Environmental Scientist plans and executes the complex environmental studies required to facilitate project delivery. The incumbent will gather, research, and analyze social, natural, and environmental data for preparation, review, and processing of environmental documents considering the impacts of transportation projects as mandated by federal and state laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Occasional overtime, travel and overnight stays may be required. A valid driver's license is desired.

All methods of appointment will be considered (e.g. list appointment, transfer, reinstatement, surplus, SROA, re-employment, Training & Development assignment, etc.) All applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for the classification in order to be eligible for the appointment to the position.
