Job Description
Leidos is seeking an Environmental Scientist in Earth City, MO, to support the FUSRAP project with office and field tasks, including environmental monitoring and data analysis. Responsibilities include collecting samples, conducting scientific analyses, and preparing technical reports. Candidates should have a B.S. in environmental science and at least four years of relevant experience. The position requires good communication skills and attention to detail.
Description
Leidos has an opening for a Environmental Scientist in our Earth City, Missouri office. The Environmental Scientist will work under the supervision of Senior Staff providing office and field support primarily for the FUSRAP project and up to 25% travel to support other similar projects. Primary duties may include assisting the Verification/Characterization Task Manager with the implementation of the characterization and verification programs and support of the environmental monitoring program. Provide support for client requests for data and related information.
Other duties include collection of soil, water and air samples in outdoor condition. Perform scientific analyses of environmental data resulting from field operations, including development of maps, figures, tables, and written materials describing investigation data and results of data analyses, conduct statistical analyses of environmental and radiological data, manipulate and maintain environmental databases and datasets, manage the site property inspection program. Support the preparation of technical work plans and reports.
What Sets You Apart:
• B.S. in environmental science (or related scientific degree and/or experience)
• Minimum of four years’ experience conducting sampling and scientific investigations in the field.
• Good communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to conduct work in accordance with written plans and procedures.
You Might Also Have:
• Experience with RESRAD software
• Experience with MARSSIM
• Proficiency in field documentation, technical report writing, and analysis skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain custom MS Access and MS Excel applications.
• Experience sampling and handling Radioactive Materials.

Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
