Your Responsibilities as an Environmental Scientist:
• Support clients in maintaining compliance in safety; stormwater; industrial waste; air quality; hazardous materials handling and storage; and hazardous waste storage, tracking, and disposal.
• Support projects with compliance oversight in the field.
• Perform compliance inspections on Apex projects.
• Meet and discuss compliance issues with agency inspectors and regulators.
• Support compliance audits.
• Write technical reports.
• Maintain familiarity with regulations pertinent to Apex projects.
• Apply for regulatory permits.
• Track permits.
• Provide guidance and training to staff related to regulatory aspects related to ongoing projects.
• Oversee field activities to ensure compliance with regulatory permits.
• Actively develop your own career growth.

What we're looking for:
• BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or other related field
• 6+ years of experience with environmental compliance in US.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• The ability to successfully multi-task
• Safety awareness
• Ability to maintain compliance records
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred
• Experience working in the field and directing field staff.
• Experience with data management and report preparation.
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle are required.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
