Job Overview:

We're looking for an Environmental Scientist to support projects focused on site investigations, remediation strategies, and groundwater management. This role involves working on land redevelopment initiatives, overseeing environmental compliance efforts, and contributing to innovative solutions for contaminated sites. Key Skills & Experience:
• Experience with operations and design of in-situ remediation systems.
• Mechanically inclined to support the operation, maintenance, and monitoring (OMM) of remediation and water treatment systems.
• Experience with construction management/oversight for environmental remediation and construction projects.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil or Chemical Engineering with an environmental focus, Geology, or Environmental Science (required).
• Advanced degree in a related field (preferred).
• 2+ years of work experience (required).
• Experience with environmental field investigations, including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), soil, soil gas, groundwater, and surface water sampling, and environmental/geotechnical drilling (preferred).
• Ability to obtain professional certification (P.E., P.G., or CHMM) (required).
• OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers (preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and/or GIS (required).
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record (required).
Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct fieldwork including soil, soil gas, surface water, air monitoring, and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, and remediation treatment system operation and maintenance.
• Design and implement sampling plans, pilot test designs, and bench-scale testing programs for contamination assessment.
• Operate and maintain vapor and wastewater remediation systems.
• Perform remedy evaluation, cost estimating, design, and implementation of environmental remediation projects.
• Oversee soil boring logging, monitoring well installation, aquifer testing, and groundwater monitoring.
• Prepare detailed soil boring and well construction logs.
• Analyze chemical and hydrogeological data, including mapping and reporting.
• Manage and analyze data using AutoCAD and GIS applications to prepare tables, maps, and figures.
• Support Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and Transaction Screening Assessments.
• Assist in the development of proposals and other business development activities.
