Seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist to join our team. This role will be conducting assessments and response actions under the MCP. Candidates must be self-motivated, possess excellent written and communication skills, and have the ability to interact with clients, and local and state agencies.

Responsibilities:
• Provide oversight for environmental projects and site inspections for a large multi-year redevelopment project.
• Undertake and lead assignments involving research, data collection, field studies, estimating, GIS, calculations, and project file management that support LSPs on MCP projects.
• Carefully document hypotheses, approach, and reasoning for easy review and use by others.
• Record research, data reduction, drilling oversight, media sampling & analysis into technical report preparation.
• Apply technical principles to project work following procedures & standards required by clients.
• Perform self QA/QC and make corrections prior to internal peer reviews.
• Work with senior staff and mentors on assignments of varying scope and complexity.
• Join regular team meetings and one-on-ones to maintain open lines of communication.
• Provide technical guidance and training to more junior staff. May supervise the work of junior engineers and scientists on project work.
• Attend conferences and seminars for continuing education and training.

Requirements:
• BS in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4-7 years of experience implementing environmental assessment and response actions.
• Must be able to collect field data and measurements including but not limited to roadway, sidewalk, and utility assets; and perform asset inspections.
• Must be able to harmoniously and effectively work in a team environment.
• Must be able to lift/move objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to perform field work in both hot and cold weather (rain and/or snow).
• Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
