Job Description
Sargent & Lundy seeks an Environmental Scientist 2 - Nuclear in Chicago, IL, to assist in preparing environmental reports, permits, and studies. Responsibilities include reviewing documents, developing visuals, supporting proposal compilation, and maintaining documentation. Candidates should have a relevant bachelor's degree, strong communication skills, and experience in technical writing. Description
• Assist the Nuclear Technology and Regulations team in the preparation of environmental reports, permits, and studies
• Review and edit reports and provide feedback/comments to report preparers
• Help report preparers explain technical and financial concepts in clear and concise language
• Develop drawings, diagrams, tables, and charts to help report preparers convey concepts and ideas
• Integrate photos and images into reports and marketing documents
• Assist project managers/teams develop and compile proposals
• Assist project directors and project managers to develop marketing material in coordination with Corporate Communications
• Maintain documentation and database of reports, documents, and proposals.
Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Technical field, Technical Communications, English, Journalism, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Master's degree preferred
• 1 or more years of experience in technical document creation and writing
• Excellent communication skills, strong technical editing and document management skills, and editorial and quality assurance experience
• Advanced skills with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft applications for document layout, graphics, and production required
• Team player with the ability to simultaneously handle multiple requests with short deadlines
• An interest or foundational knowledge of engineering and/or the energy industry preferred, but not required
