Description

The Environmental Sampling Technician or Staff Level Environmental Scientist will play a crucial role in our award-winning Environmental Site Investigation and Remediation Consulting firm. This position involves carrying out environmental fieldwork, including the collection of various environmental media (soil, groundwater, surface water, soil vapor, indoor air, etc.) using a range of methodologies. You will complete field documentation using both hand-written and app-based devices and assist the project team in integrating collected data into reports that guide future project decisions.

Skills
• Proficient in sampling various environmental media (surface water, groundwater, soil, soil vapor, air)
• Knowledge of regulations such as RCRA and CERCLA
• Experience with multi-parameter water quality meters and sampling equipment
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to document field progress and troubleshoot independently
• Current 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification (preferred)
• Skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities
• Conduct environmental fieldwork and collect environmental samples
• Complete detailed documentation of field activities
• Assist project team in integrating data into reports
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Communicate effectively with team members and project managers

Qualifications
• Ideal candidates for Environmental Sampling Technician: 4+ years of continuous experience in environmental sampling
• Ideal candidates for Staff Level Environmental Scientist: 1-2+ years in environmental sampling or consulting, and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field
• Must pass Federal Background Check and maintain an acceptable driving record

Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a similar scientific field

• Bachelor’s Degree

Experience Requirements
• 1-4 years relevant experience in environmental sampling or environmental consulting
