Atlas is seeking an Environmental Risk Assessor for their Waterloo, IA office. The role involves technical support for petroleum portfolios, compliance with regulations, and risk assessment. Candidates should have a science or engineering degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience, particularly with BUSTR environmental investigations. We are seeking a Risk Assessor, Environmental Investigation & Remediation to join our Cleveland or Columbus, OH team! Come join us!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Technical Resource for Major Petroleum Portfolio.
• Efficient completion of upper level BUSTR reporting, including Tier 2 Calibrations, Tier 3 Evaluations, MCAs, etc.
• Expert in risk assessment, including fate and transport modeling.
• Assist clients with complying with local, regional, state, and federal regulations for the BUSTR program.
Minimum requirements:
• Bachelors in any science or engineering fields
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, include work related to BUSTR environmental site investigation and remediation
• Extensive experience with BUSTR fate and transport modeling and site specific target level generation
• Experience with implementation and supervision of health and safety requirements
• Efficient in Excel, Word, PDF, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc
• Must possess outstanding problem solving and report writing/editing skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
• Must be able to pass initial drug screen and five-year motor vehicle background check.
Technical requirements:
• Experience and understanding of BUSTR Rule sets
• Experience with Fate - Transport Modeling is considered a plus.
• 40-hr HAZWOPER training
