Job Description
Anchor QEA is seeking a senior-level Environmental Restoration Project Lead in Asheville, NC, with over 10 years of experience. Responsibilities include project management, technical analysis, client coordination, and business development for environmental restoration projects. The role involves leading teams, developing new client relationships, and executing projects focused on sustainable habitat and ecological restoration solutions.
At Anchor QEA, we are seeking a senior-level engineer to help expand our Environmental Restoration Practice and capture growing opportunities throughout the mid-Atlantic and Gulf Coast regions. As a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience in environmental restoration planning, design, and project management, you will support our team of scientists, engineers, biologists, and planners in the growth of Anchor QEA. Your responsibilities will include developing new clients, winning and executing work, and growing our experience with federal, state, and local clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Leading comprehensive scope development, fee negotiations, project schedule and deliverable milestones development, technical and financial project management activities, client and stakeholder coordination, project implementation, and subcontractor administration
• Planning, performing, and managing technical analyses for environmental restoration projects and programs
• Leading design plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates
• Providing mentorship, technical oversight and quality reviews on project deliverables
• Providing active mentorship and oversight of junior and mid-level staff
Business Development
• Working directly with federal, state, local agencies; non-governmental organizations (NGOs); and other organizations to identify, plan, and execute environmental restoration projects that restore natural systems and habitat.
• Positioning for and winning multi-disciplinary projects and/or programs with a focus on sustainable habitat and ecological restoration solutions and climate resilience, either as part of a larger team or as the prime contractor
• Knowledge of existing and potential clients in the region, and ability to leverage existing relationships
• Developing new clients, identify project opportunities, lead proposal efforts, and capture new work
• Identifying strategic teaming partners and actively building relationships, helping to identify and support staff resource and hiring needs
