Description

The Environmental Restoration Ecologist / Scientist will engage in the planning, design, mitigation, and restoration of various projects throughout Northern California. This role is pivotal in our Environmental Hydrology and Design practice, focusing on habitat restoration and multi-benefit flood management. As part of a collaborative team comprising engineers, geomorphologists, landscape architects, biologists, and restoration ecologists, you will apply cutting-edge scientific knowledge and technical tools to deliver sustainable project solutions. • Strong background in restoration ecology and familiarity with California’s diverse native habitats

Responsibilities

• Conduct field studies including flora and fauna surveys and habitat mapping
• Oversee project tasks, logistics, and deliverables as Deputy Project Manager or Project Manager

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or preferably Master’s degree in Biology or a related ecological field
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in restoration ecology
• Proven ability to prepare clear and concise environmental documents
• Experience in project management and client communication
• Strong organizational skills and a self-directed work ethic

Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related ecological field
• Master’s degree preferred but not required
