The Environmental Restoration Ecologist / Scientist will play a crucial role in an esteemed environmental consulting firm specializing in planning, design, mitigation, and restoration projects. This position is based in any of our Northern California office locations, including Oakland, San Francisco, Petaluma, Sacramento, or San Jose. The role focuses on habitat restoration and flood management, applying scientific principles and engineering design to deliver ecological solutions.

• Technical expertise in restoration ecology and familiarity with California’s native habitats

Responsibilities

• Conduct biological field studies, including surveys and habitat mapping
• Oversee project tasks as Deputy Project Manager or Project Manager, ensuring delivery on schedule and within budget

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s (or preferably Master’s) degree in Biology or related ecological field
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in environmental ecology
• Fieldwork experience, including the ability to transport equipment and navigate difficult terrain
• Proven ability to manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets
