Environmental Remediation Scientist
Location: Baltimore, MD (near Dundalk)
Salary: $120,000-$140,000 + Annual Bonus Potential

Typical hours: M-F, 8 AM – 5 PM (40-45 hours)

Environmental Remediation Scientist (engineering/geology/environmental sciences) Description
Our client is looking for a seasoned, well-rounded Environmental Remediation Scientist to lead their remediation projects across their company in Baltimore, MD. In this critical role, you will be responsible for tracking all remediation activities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and project timelines. You will oversee full-time contractors (5), ensuring that their work aligns with safety and quality standards while facilitating successful project delivery. To be chosen for this role, you must have a strong blend of technical knowledge with a people-focused, collaborative approach to project management. Someone who understands how to manage resources while providing strong mentorship and communication to their team. Our client is unique in their industry, which allows you to work on a variety of projects without having extensive travel requirements. Environmental Remediation Scientist (engineering/geology/environmental sciences) Responsibilities
• Oversee a team of consultants including resource allocation
• Evaluate reports on environmental assessments and project needs
• Manage the installation and setup of remediation systems
• Oversee the operation, compliance, and maintenance of systems
• Procure materials and chemicals for projects
• Estimate costs for environmental liabilities
• Analyze data and prepare proposals, cost estimates, and technical reports
• Develop budget estimates and work scopes for engineering tasks
• Communicate with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders
• Participate in field visits to ensure productivity and quality standards
Environmental Remediation Scientist (engineering/geology/environmental sciences) Qualifications
• Strong background with site assessments required
• Well-versed managing environmental remediation projects required
• Advanced knowledge of CERCLA and RCRA required
• Able to work onsite in Baltimore required
