Environmental / Regulatory Technician

The Bergaila Companies is hiring an Environmental/Regulatory Technician in Midland, TX, offering $38/hour with a 14/14 work schedule. Candidates should have a relevant degree and experience in environmental or socioeconomic fields, particularly in construction or extractive industries. Responsibilities include inspecting environmental monitoring equipment, providing compliance support, and managing project logistics. Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a closely related position
• Applicants must possess a University degree in Natural or Environmental Sciences, Natural Resource Management, Social Sciences (e.g., anthropology, sociology), Engineering or some other technical field related to E&R management regarding environmental and/or socioeconomic and/or health matters
• Candidates should have relevant experience regarding the environmental and/or socioeconomic and/or health field(s) preferably related to a construction or extractive industry project
• Knowledge of US regulations desirable
• Excellent English speaking and writing skills required
• Candidates should have good interpersonal skills, and proven ability to work in a positive team manner

Responsibilities:
• Inspect, basic maintenance and testing of multimedia (air, water and solid) portable environmental monitoring equipment used in an oil complex including stack monitoring equipment, PID, FID analyzers, etc., maintaining inventory of spares for this equipment, record keeping of all related items managed by the environmental team
• Provide environmental and regulatory compliance technical support
• Assist Environment Team and Business Unit support Teams in their activities for routine environmental monitoring, environmental data collection, and Project management oversight
• Any other environment related activities assigned by the Environment Manager and/or Execution Supervisor
• Support and assist in emergency response releases
• Provide field level oversight of Soil, Water, and Waste Projects
• Coordinate field execution logistics with stakeholders
• Validate spend and assist with project budgets
• Liase with 3rd Party environmental contractors and EM
• Interact with Regulatory field agents and landowners
